Our mission is simple: equip organisations with knowledge, tools, and resources to drive meaningful change and build a future where abuse and exploitation have no place.

What we do

Research

Our research is helping national and local government, businesses and communities to address modern slavery risks and ensure equitable access to support services is available to all.

Policy

We advocate for changes in legislation and policies where it might impact people who are exploited or those vulnerable to exploitation and abuse.

Resources

We support organisations by providing them with access to the knowledge, frameworks and tools they need to address modern slavery and GBV.

Consultancy

Our bespoke consultancy services support local government and businesses to address modern slavery and labour rights risks across departments, front line services and supply chains.

Survivor Centered

We use an approach that centres around those most impacted by the issues at hand, seeking to keep their needs and wellbeing at the core of all the work we do.

Rights based

We prioritise and protect the rights of individuals, working towards equality, justice, and empowerment.

Collaborative

We value working together instead of separately. We use our position to bring various organisations together, sparking and guiding positive change.

Evidence based

We shape our activities based on credible and reliable evidence. We are committed to gathering, analysing and interpreting data to ensure our actions are well-informed and aligned with the most current and accurate information.

Gender analysis

Oppression varies based on gender. Integrating this understanding into our work, we strive to combat exploitation and violence while advocating for gender equality.

The Team

Meenal founded Shiva Foundation with her husband in 2015 as when they heard the horrors of child sex trafficking, they felt compelled as parents to try make a difference.
